Woolworths nominated as Responsible Retailer of the Year
Woolworths recently received international recognition by being short-listed for the 2008 Responsible Retailer of the year award- one of only two finalists from outside Europe.
The other five finalists are C&A Europe (Germany), Carrefour Group (France), Sainsbury (UK), Tesco (UK), The Warehouse Group (New Zealand). Last years winner was the UK’s Marks & Spencer.

I have just retuned from a trip to Europe and visited the Euroshop trade fair in Germany (The largest retail store equipment exhibition) and it is very interesting to have observed that South Africa is no longer behind from a retail design, concept and shopfitting point of view!
